Ease of deployment

Packed in a compact valise the Solo liferaft provides ease of self-deployment. Inflation is via a disposable CO2 cylinder activated via a reflective lanyard on the side of the valise where it is securely fastened to avoid inadvertent operation. Fully operational within seconds, boarding is effective through handling loops and the advanced dipped floor makes entry simpler and gives enhanced water stability by lowering the centre of gravity. Safety is of paramount importance to the liferaft design. The lanyard and snap hook acts as a tethering line on inflation, ensuring that the liferaft cannot be accidentally separated from the survivor.

Thermal Protection

The valise is tested to withstand temperatures of -30°C. The durable design comprises of a lightweight gas inflated buoyancy chamber. The integrated, highly visible single layer canopy, built in splash guard and transparent visor provide the user with additional thermal protection. A sea drogue fitted to the liferaft ensures stability and positioning.

Survival Aids

Survival aids are fitted to the liferaft as standard and in case of emergency the survivor will have access to a bailer, light stick, water and other essential aids. Optional survival aids available for additional costs such as illumination and signal flares.
